Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is an innovative, assisted-stretching technique that increases mobility, eases tension, and relieves pain. FST treats the fascia, a layer of connective tissue that encases and supports the muscles, joints, tendons, and ligaments. Unlike targeted muscle stretching, FST uses gentle movements to relieve your entire tissue system for longer-lasting mobility improvements.

Frequently Asked Questions
What to expect during the first visit?
We offer one-on-one stretch therapy sessions in comfortable, private rooms that follow strict COVID safety protocols. Upon arrival, first-time clients are assessed on their needs, pains, medical history, and expectations. We then develop a customized stretch plan to achieve your personal mobility goals, including a recommended treatment schedule and home stretches.
When starting treatment, you’ll lay on a table and be asked to relax your muscles. The therapist will then perform stretches and will guide you on breathing and table re-positioning throughout the duration of treatment. Our clients find sessions to be calming, relaxing, and even euphoric.
What conditions does fascial stretch therapy help address?
Fascial stretch therapy relieves a surprising range of ailments including, but not limited to, back pain, spinal pain/injuries, hip flexor pain, rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder, sciatic pain, prenatal sciatica, plantar fasciitis, migraines, TMJ, difficulty getting out of bed, workplace stress/strain, and soreness from yard work.
Does fascial stretch therapy hurt?
No. We’ve designed fascial stretch therapy to be completely pain free. It is a very gentle, rhythmic approach compared to what most people imagine from a traditional stretch. We do not believe in the “no pain, no gain” mindset; our clients feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the entirety of their session.
Is fascial stretch therapy safe for those pregnant?
Yes. Fascial stretch therapy’s gentle movements are 100% safe and soothing for those pregnant. It also relieves prenatal sciatica and low back pain associated with pregnancy. Others will benefit from improved blood flow and stress relief.
How does fascial stretch therapy compare to a massage or regular stretching?
Fascial stretch therapy differs from traditional stretching and body work because it focuses on joints and fascia tissue as a whole. The body’s ten “fascial mobility nets” or groupings of fascia play different roles in our movements. FST targets these groupings to ease tension, realign the body, and improve functionality versus targeting and stretching one muscle or muscle group at a time.
How much does fascial stretch therapy cost?
The cost of fascial stretch therapy is similar to massage therapy or traditional stretch therapy treatment. At LaRose Muscular Therapy, our assisted stretching treatments range from $60 to $80 per 60-minute session depending on whether you’re a first-time or recurring client, and whether you purchase by individual session or group of sessions.
Is fascial stretch therapy covered by insurance?
No. Similar to massage or regular stretch therapy treatments, fascial stretch therapy is not covered by health insurance at this time. However, the pricing is very reasonable. For example, LaRose’s assisted stretching treatments range from $60 to $80 per 60-minute session depending on whether you’re a first-time or recurring client.
What should I wear for a session?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows for a full range of motion, along with clean socks and undergarments (i.e. T-shirt, sweats, leggings, fitness apparel). Please remove jewelry and secure long hair.
